The Textile artist, Zine maker and workshop facilitator creatively leading conversations

I’ve grown up in North Manchester and am always excited to meet fellow North Manchester creatives and to show all over Manchester what the North has to offer!

A lot my ethos is “if no one else is doing it, I’ll do it”. That’s why I run zine-fests, or make a podcast about class, because I’m like… if I want to see it, then I’ve got to do it.

What makes you proud of your local area or community?

People doing their own thing, just getting on with it and supporting others.

There’s loads of people doing little things, creating space and doing stuff without resources, without money, and without acknowledgement.

Which creative project are you most proud of?

Either the co-creation of Poor Lass, a zine and podcast sharing working class stories told by working class people, OR Over Here Zine fest – A zine fest and platform I co-run that gives space to creatives from the global majority and once a year showcases their zines and art.

Anything I have done that allows people to Take Up Space!

A celebration of Moston's vibrant creative scene

North Manchester's creative scene has so much to offer. We're putting individuals and organisations on the map by celebrating the creative power of our area, and we'd love you to Shout Out with us.
